Dynaco
Dynaco was founded in 1955 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, by David Hafler and Ed Laurent.
Dynaco became famous for affordable tube and solid-state amplifier kits and high-performance loudspeakers.
The Dynaco A-25 loudspeaker became one of the best-selling loudspeakers in audio history, with over 600,000 units sold worldwide.
Between 1970 and 1995, Dynaco manufactured key audio electronics and speakers. The Dynaco A-25 speaker (launched 1969 and widely sold through the 1970s) utilized an aperiodic vented cabinet design. In electronics, the ST-400 solid-state power amplifier (200W/ch) and the classic PAT-4/PAT-5 preamplifiers brought high output to home stereos.
