Cabasse
Cabasse was founded in 1950 in Brest, France, by Georges Cabasse. Descended from a line of violin makers dating back to 1755, Georges Cabasse applied stringed instrument acoustics to loudspeaker development.
Past the Bretagne" legacy transmitted in naming all speakers after vessel types, Cabasse was a pioneer in high-efficiency active multi-amplified speakers, building specialized sound systems for Cinemascope movie theaters in the 1950s.
Between 1970 and 1995, Cabasse produced pure high-efficiency loudspeakers with rigid dome drivers and honeycomb membranes.
