Rotel RP-1500 turntable
Rare find, gorgeous look
Never over represented in Belgium, Rotel is the High Fidelity division of the Japan-based Roland Corporation. Roland itself is much more on our heads as the musical instrument brand producing synthesizers and rythm machines used in almost every hit of the early eighties synth pop.
But Rotel was already there before, here in 1975, trusting acclaimmed places in Britain Hi-Fi magazines selections. This refined RP-1500 turntable was not a street hit, despite its qualities, and is a rare find today.
The nice wooden base is the home of a precise and reliable servo motor, belt driving a nice and heavy aluminium cast platter. The electronic pitch control allow precise adjustement monitored by a strobe light. A light alloy static-balanced S-shaped pipe arm completes the concept.
A very vintage look with solid performance and reliability make it a real bargain.
Tested, cleaned, deoxydized.
The dust cover is original and pristine for age, the Rotel central badge is present. The rubber feet are in good condition, not dryed. The audio connector can plug as DIN or Stereo CINCH.
Perfect working condition, see the photo gallery for cosmetic signs of patina and age.
