Luxman
Luxman was founded in 1925 in Osaka, Japan, by Tadayuki Hayakawa and Kintaro Yagui as Lux Corporation, starting as a radio component workshop.
Luxman pioneered high-end tube and hybrid amplification when most rivals completely abandoned tube technology during the solid-state transition of the 1970s.
Between 1970 and 1995, Luxman created exotic luxury components. Iconic products included the L-507 and L-580 integrated amplifiers, the M-4000 power amplifier (1975), the Vacuum Disc Stabilizer PD-300 turntable (which used a vacuum pump to suction vinyl flat onto the platter), and the SQ-38 Signature tube amplifier.

Luxman began as the radio department of a picture frame shop. It is one of the world's oldest audio brands, famed for warm musicality and rosewood cabinetry.
