Micro Seiki
Micro Seiki was founded in 1961 in Tokyo, Japan. Micro Seiki specialized strictly in high-precision mechanical engineering, becoming the ultimate reference in high-end turntables and tonearms.
Micro Seiki produced OEM turntable components and chassis for almost every major Japanese high-end audio brand, while reserving their heaviest air-bearing designs for their own brand name.
Between 1970 and 1995, Micro Seiki built ultra-heavyweight vinyl playback systems. Landmark products included the Micro Seiki DDX-1000 (1976) with its tripod base mounting up to three tonearms, the MA-505 dynamic balance tonearm, and the massive 1980 SX-8000, featuring an air-bearing platter flotation system and vacuum hold-down weighing over 130 kg.
