Bowers & Wilkins B&W DM12 loudspeakers
Matched pair of this strong compact performer
Manufactured from 1980 to 1984, these speakers carry a lot of technology and excellence in a small package.
From the sales documentation, B&W declares it is "a speaker system designed to solve the problems of small speakers such as narrow frequency characteristics and poor linearity".
Special attention was paid to the selection of the low-frequency unit, and the peak-to-peak motion to obtain a certain sound pressure level.
The network part is designed using the design technology used in 801. The optimum element constant is determined by a computer to achieve accurate amplitude-phase characteristics with low distortion.
The listening session carries the Bowers & Wilkins signature, with notable balance, precision and sweetness, and a very good rendition of bass in such a compact volume.
A true classic.
Tested, cleaned, deoxydized. The grilles have been steamed for sanitation.
This pair is matching with consecutive serial numbers, as paired after measurements at the factory.
Perfect working condition, see the photo gallery for cosmetic signs of patina and age.
The stands are not part of the sale.
