Thorens TD 166 turntable

A name in turntables

Produced from 1976 to 1987, the swiss-made Thorens TD166 defines a turntable in its most minimalistic way. It's more or less as bare as a table, and it turns.

Designed around the "less is more" principle, this model gained recommandations from numerous Hi-Fi magazines because behind the scene, it rolls with good stability and the refined tonearm allow a good rendering of details.

The anti-skating for example has to be adjusted with a nylon string and a set of weight, surprising when you are used to a knob you just have to turn and forget.

This example is in very good condition, and fully original, including the dust cover that managed to reach us without significant dents or cracks. The praised Shure M95ED cartridge completes the package that will seduce the minimalist design enthusiast.

Tested, cleaned, deoxydized.

100% original, unmodified model except new aluminium absorbant feet.

The Shure M95ED cartridge is in good condition.

The antiskating has been rebalanced.

Perfect working condition, see the photo gallery for cosmetic signs of patina and age.

No shipping.
